Laurel Holman is a writer, facilitator and coach, and marketing executive.
WRITER | A writer of middle grade fiction, Laurel has written two novels, both undergoing final revisions. She is a contributor to Middle Grade Lunch Break, a craft blog that provides craft analysis of middle grade novels. She is an active member of SCBWI, and belongs to several book clubs and writing groups. She runs book fairs and book clubs at the local elementary and middle schools.
FACILITATOR AND COACH | Laurel is a founding member of Shine On Collaborative, where she works with a passionate team of women to organize events, run workshops, and facilitate women's circles which provide support, community, and inspiration for women looking to bring greater purpose and creativity into their lives and into the world. She also facilitates a mother/daughter discussion group for middle school girls.
MARKETING EXECUTIVE | Laurel enjoyed a nearly 20 year career as a senior marketing executive in the software and consumer products markets at companies including Intuit (maker of Quickbooks and TurboTax), and Colgate-Palmolive. Laurel continues to work as a consultant from time to time.
MORE | She has an MBA from Duke University, and an undergraduate degree in Communications and Psychology from Stanford University. She lives in California with her husband and two children, a golden retriever and a black cat.
